Network Marketing Success
Make sure your product has consumer demand...
Network marketing is a business system in which a company signs on independent distributors to market and sell their products or services. The distributors then create a “downline” by recruiting other people to be on their sales team.
Distributors get commissions from their the products sold by them and those they recruited. Network marketing success requires an investment of time, money and resources. Thus, it is important that you choose wisely when you consider your options.
Once you find a network marketing opportunity, take some time to do your homework. Research the company. An established company is more likely to be successful in the long run. Make sure that the product has a good consumer market. Also, make sure that you have the time and resources to find enough customers to make a profit. You may have a better chance of selling a product if it is something that you believe in yourself.
Make sure that commissions are earned from the actual sale of products. Some network marketing opportunities turn out to be fronts for illegal pyramid schemes. Commissions in a legitimate company are earned from the sales of products.
If you just earn money from the entry fees of people you recruit, then it might be a pyramid scheme. Also make sure that the products can be sold to the general public as well as people who have signed on as distributors.
When you are starting out, don't be afraid to ask your upline (the person who recruited you) for help and advice. It is their responsibility to mentor you you and help you get started. In the long run, your network marketing success will benefit them as well. They can give you useful tips and information that you, in turn, can pass on to your downline.
There are several ways that you can recruit people for your downline. You can try to recruit friends, family, and acquaintances. You can also pass out flyers and cards around your neighborhood. Websites and internet banner adds are a good way to reach a large number of potential team members.
Some companies even sell lists of potential leads. Some of these people have been contacted before, and expressed an interest in a network marketing opportunity.
Make sure that you have sufficient information about your product and company when you talk to a lead. A phone script is very useful when you are contacting leads over the telephone. Also, make sure that you shoot down any misconceptions that your potential team member may have.
Some people do not realize the time, effort, and resources that network marketing requires. They also may not know that most companies have a small entry fee.
